Keeping Healthy

Walking for Health in Lambeth

Free health walks are open to everyone and are led by a qualified instructor. Walks currently run every Wednesday from 12.30pm for approx 45mins with a 30 min option available for those who would prefer a shorter walk.


Walking for Health in Southwark

Free health walks provided by the Southwark Exercise Referral Team. The walks are open to all, last no longer than one hour, and 30 minute options are available for beginners and those with long term health conditions.

Weight Management

MEND - Lambeth

The London Borough of Lambeth delivers the MEND 4-6 and MEND 7-12 programmes for children aged 4 to 6 and 7 to 12 who are above the healthy weight.

MEND 4-6 runs once a week for 1 hour 45 minutes while MEND 7-12 runs twice a week for 2 hours.


MEND - Southwark

Jubilee Halls Trust is commissioned by the London Borough of Southwark to deliver the MEND 7-13 programme for children aged 7 to 13 who are above the healthy weight.

The programme runs twice a week for two hours, across a ten-week period.


NHS Health Checks

The Health Improvement Hub is Southwark’s lifestyle support service, helping people who would like support on weight management and how to become more physically active. The Hub is a Free service offered to people who live in Southwark (or are registered with a Southwark GP) who have had an NHS Health Check and meet the criteria.
