We offer special clinics and services which our doctors will refer you to, as and when the need arises. Doing things this way means you get better care, from an expert, and we make more effective use of the resources we have to look after you. Below, we list some of the special clinics and services we offer at Paxton Green Group Practice:

Cervical Smears

It is important for women between the ages of 25 and 64 to have a smear test every three years. If you think you are not up to date please make an appointment.

 

 

Well Woman, Menopause & Contraception Clinics

To provide advice and treatment to women of all ages with health worries and problems. Services provided by specialist nurses and female doctors include full health checks, all types of contraception, menopause services and HRT.

 

Blood Testing

At the Doctors discretion there are a limited number of appointments available for those not able to travel to Dulwich Hospital or Kings College Hospital

 

Dietician

Clinics run by a dietitian from King’s College Hospital for advice on diet and healthy eating.

 

Asthma, Diabetes, Skin and Vascular Risk/Blood Pressure Clinics

Run by specialist nurses. For managing all aspects of these illnesses and advising on medicines, diet and lifestyle issues associated with them.

 

Health promotion & disease prevention

Health checks (blood  pressure, urine and weight) and lifestyle. This is very important and   available for all patients. New patients receive these checks when they register with the Practice.

 

Maternity Care & Antenatal Care

A full service from a specialist team of midwives, doctors

 

Well Baby Clinics

For advice on child care, development and weighing.

 

Thursday 9.30-12.00PM

 

Immunisation & Travel Advice

For those planning to travel abroad. Appoint­ments must be made well in advance of your travel date.

 

Minor Surgery

Following an initial assess­ment, removal of lumps, cysts etc. under local anaesthetic.

 

Stop Smoking Clinics

Specially trained practice nurses provide support, advice and treatment for patients who want to stop smoking.
